aahhh !! just got pulled over no more than an hour ago, Im driving minding my own business when I look thru my rear view mirror and all I see is a charger with cop lights hauling butt from behind and then getting right behind me

... He says to roll my windows up so he can test the tint, he brings his little machine 2.9% !!!!

.. I tell him I did not know that they were illegal and he goes into the car and comes back with two "citations" one for speedinh 56 in a 40zone and for the tints. He then says "Im not giving you a third one for your black tint license plate cover" g thanks !!!!!!!!! I go on to tell him my cousins a cop (miami dade) and he says he does not know him and hes not going to help me in court... @$$

. I can guarantee everyone next 2 me was past 40mph but I was the only GREEN camaro so0o0 who would you go after ??

guess I learned my lesson dont speed with the windows up in "Virginia Garden" nw 41st and 79 ave !!!!!

What's this got to do with anything anyway? You were the one behind the wheel. You got profiled for driving an attention getting car. It's what happens when you don't drive a jellybean.

Question is, were you speeding? And was your tints too dark to be legal? If true, good luck with that.

He probably slammed you for lying to him. He knows you knew the tint was illegal. Every window tinter is at least going to warn you about the law before they black out your windows.

sadly i doubt you will get anything off the tickets. some cops give all cops a bad name.

Doral cop? Yeah, those chaps are notorious. I pulled up behind two today around NW12th and 87th and they wanted to get on my 6 for some reason - braking, slowing down. But I braked the entire time they did. I have 15% tints. But they can't force you to roll your windows up, I think. I may be mistaken.

At least you're keeping a smiley face about this. The tint ticket, just pay it.

You took the time to take a pic of him in your mirror before pulling over? Back window tint looks pretty dark, but is that 2.9% dark?

My buddies and I have been using the ebay pre-cut tint for a couple years now... Get pulled over? Cop says tint's too dark? Cop goes back to his car... Rip tint off! Leaves no residue... Cop comes back... What tint officer? It works

$109 tint? geez your lucky, the tint laws here are brutal. i think it was $281 a window. i know of a couple guys who had to pay 600 dollar tint fines.

Why is he a bad cop for doing his job? If the OP wouldnt have been speeding the officer most likely would never have noticed what car he was driving

I do, lol, but I was never sure of its legality. It only worked once. The other time I was ordered out of the vehicle, so I never had the chance. Gave me a ticket for each individual window, all 5. So 5 x $90 = $450 at the time - this was back when I had my 04 Mits Galant, though. But I was given several warnings on the Galant, though, at least four. I did have the 5% on those, however.

If you were speeding and your tints are illegal..then you're screwed.

Pay the ticket and deal with it, if you fight it hard then it could get worse, especially if you were illegal on both accounts.
