Best clutch to replace stock one?
I have 600 hp to the wheels. What is a good clutch to get? Recommendations?

I went with spec 3+ single disc and RAM hydraulic throwout bearing. I am happy with it so far. A little chatter in first, and reverse.

Well, we obviously are going to say Centerforce because we might be a bit biased. With that kind of horsepower, you'll probably skew toward a clutch with more holding power, but it really depends on what you're doing with the car (besides having a hell of a lot of fun).
Here's a chart that lays out our clutches and flywheels with their best applications and performance. Feel free to call us [(928) 771-8422] or PM with any questions.

Are you going to be tracking the car? If so then dual disk as a minimum for your power. I can tell you this, do it right the first time. Most people will tell you to get what they are running, and sponsors will tell you to get what they are selling. Truth is most of the sponsors we have here on C5 have excellent products. I went with a Mantic 9000, slight bit of chatter and a little higher pedal. The first one I bought was "slightly" used. And I mean it hardly had any wear on it. I took the car from Bradenton Florida to Toledo Ohio, and by the time I got to Atlanta It was done for. Matt sent me a new clutch courtesy of Mantic and its been rock solid since. Time will tell and so will the track, about how well the clutch works for me. If I had it to do all over again, would I buy the Mantic again? Honestly I was made an offer that was hard to refuse, I had already shelled out a shit ton of money for my mods and the price was right. The clutch is supposed rated up to 1010 ft lbs torque, so at the time it was a no brainer. After searching the forums, I found little complaints and decided to go ahead with the purchase.
I will say this, if my clutch were to go out tomorrow, or this year for that matter, I would go with a different brand, most likely a triple disk street slayer from H-E. But you honestly shouldnt need a triple disk, yet over kill on a clutch is never a bad idea. If you never plan on going past your current HP level then I would say dual disk at the minimum possibly a triple disk for you. Do some searching on the forums, see what people have had and are happy with based on there experience AFTER replacing a clutch. Most people rave about there clutches AFTER they switch from a stock clutch. Hell who wouldn't, just about anything you can buy is a great upgrade. Find out from those who have had to replace their aftermarket clutches with a new one. You should find a common denominator.

Had one of the early version Mantic 9000 when they first came out and it was replaced twice by Matt, just wouldn't hold 700rwhp, they have since upgraded to a 30% higher clamping pressure plate which is what was needed for the weight of our cars in the first place, I'm at 800+rwhp now and I switched over and went to a Centerforce DYAD and haven't looked back, best choice I made, although I'm sure the current Mantic clutches are good as well with the better pressure plate.

I've had great results running the CenterForce DYAD. I am at just over 700hp and the first one lasted 87000 hard miles and it was one of there first production units, the 2nd one has 27000 miles and is doing great. my new one is also more refined and it has been updated since the original came out. CenterForce always seems to be looking to update their products.
