De-badge or go Black
I have a 2013 Ashen Gray 6 speed manual ZL1 on order (week4) and I want to keep it as dark and "mean as hell" looking as possible, no chrome and all lights blacked out. Also have the chevy bowties in solid black. The faded vent gills in vinyl. Not sure if I should e-pel/nano fusion the paint protection. Not sure how to maintain, do you wax over it with the rest of the car? Not sure if I should order the camaro letters in black or debadge the sides? Chevy all has them on sale this week. Any feed back is greatly appreciated. Thanks

De-badge
Thanks, still not sure what I'll do. Also want to change out the chrome exhaust tips for black ones. Don't like and not sure what do with the chrome surrounds around the tail lights. Must be blackout replacements or some sort of vinyl overlay. Any suggestions?

Research plasti dip, it will solve all your problems lol.
There are tons of options for blacking out your car. |

Debadge... at least remove the 'camaro' badging from the sides and the bowtie from the rear. Then you can do the rest of the badging in black... too much badging on the zl1 imo...

DE-BADGE no point spending a dime on the camaro letters. easier washing the car with them gone too.

I'd go with black and no debadging. You've earned the ZL1 badges.

Yea I wouldnt debadge, people will think you have a v6 pretending to be a Z. Lol, but either is cool as long as you want it! I wouldnt thought, the ZL1 badge is SACRED.

Side "CAMARO" de-badging only
I'm not touching the ZL1 badges. Only thinking about either removing the camaro letters on the sides or replacing them with the black letters. Chevy
Mall.com has them on sale this week. Pretty good deal, I don't care for the vinyl overlay because the chrome on the edges still shows. I have the solid black chevy bowties ready as soon as my baby gets here. Already picked out the perfect name for her. |

I went black on everything, including custom painted ZL1 badges. Removed "Camaro" from the fenders and moved the hood badges there.

Queued for Production NO MORE
Just checked with GM web site (Track your Order) and today is week 4 exactly since my order went in. Everyday for the last four weeks every time I checked it said your vehicle is queued for production and awaiting bla bla bla... Not today! She is now enroute!
Jameslk350. Great looking ride! What does it say on the side badge, looks like it's more than camaro, tried to zoom in but it all blurred out. R u thinking about adding the vinyl faded side gills? Saw one your color at the car show up here last month w/faded gills and the SS decals on the rims, wow! It was really sharp. Not a computer girl/hate them, so I'm embarrassed to say I haven't figured out how to load in my pictures, it asks me for URL, whatever, like I understand chinese or something...not. Rather change a tire/oil than play on the computer. I've had my Red Jewel SS up to 153mph. |

Paying Invoice
Ordered my ZL1 from Quirk chevrolet in Braintree, mass. Paying invoice, they only tried screwing me with this additional advertisement and something extra fee they added on, so I was not happy and got them to throw in the gray camaro GM car cover. The fee was like $1,400 above dealer invoice, still below MSRP. The cover sells for something like $360.
For any of America's heroes who are serving this great country of ours, active or retired, USAA can get you another $750 rebate. Negotiate your deal first and whether you're getting something off the lot or placing an order, then put in your USAA rebate. Check out their web site, get your incentive number and the dealership will deduct the $750 from your price, plus the sales tax on the $750. Every little bit helps! Can't wait to see my salesmans face when I finally get my ride, and they have to take $750 off my price! |
