Congrats!!!! Be careful driving in this weather. If it is below 40 and the roads and tires are cold it is like driving on wet roads at best.

Are you driving back or hauling her back? Be careful!! The tires aren't for cold weather driving. I know you are anixous to get her home, but...

Where are getting her from?

Thanks for the concern everyone. I've read all about the tires and already purchased a set of aftermarket wheels with snow tires from a gentleman that had an SS. Im bringing those out with me and having the dealer install them and then send the OEM wheels home for me. Its from Team One Chevrolet in Charolette, Michigan

Ummm, forgive my ignorance here...will standard SS wheels fit over the ZL1 brakes?

Either way, I envy your purchase...enjoy your quick drive home!

Team One - that's where I bought my last three new vehicles! Tell Jim (Sales Manager) I said hello.

its a 20" wheel so I didnt think there would be any interference. 245/45 bridgestone blizzak snow tires... should make a huge difference for the conditions I'll be driving in. Im hoping to put at least one OEM wheel in the trunk and perhaps two in the back seat... any other things I need to make sure of upon picking it up? I read the thread about the PDI

Sounds like you have done your "prep" work. Have a good trip. The good thing is that you will be well into the 1500 breakin mileage by the time you get home. I looked at it on Team One's website. She's a beauty.

Fake Driver's license, a facial disguise, and plate covers for the photo radar.

And some Icy Hot for your face...sh*t eating grins start to hurt after the first hundred or so miles!

NOXQQ- Where did you see it on there website, I only see a stock photo listed...

I actually built this same car pretty much out of a 2005 GTO so I know what to expect performance wise. The only thing I was missing was the suspension upgrade so Im hoping this hooks up a bit better.

You're right. I went back to the website and noticed the "stock" notation in the pictures.

I bought mine from MI also. Wally Edgar in Lake Orion. I am not nearly as far away as you are. It was only a 400 mile drive for me. They emailed a bunch of pictures to me so I could get a look-see before I went on my road trip.

btw...I think that the back seat folds down (as least it did in my 2010 SS) which will help a bunch with getting the tires stored for the trip.

And - It'll hook!!
