Many of them seem to have some type of entitlement complex, too.
We demand cheap gas now!!!!

Good luck with that.
The next decade is going to be pretty shocking to many of those people.

Yeah most stations are saying $1.19 in the edmonton area for the cheap crappy gas noone should be using anyways. Premium just hit $1.30 a litre, OMG!

I'm pi$$ed , and the ironic thing is the oil prices drop but the price of gas goes up.

Did anyone else notice that at most (can't say all) Petro Canada gas stations, the pie charts are no longer posted on the pumps.
Why is that?
Maybe because they know they're ripping off the consumer?

I'm waiting for this to become an election issue (federal) and see how politicians react.
If this continues through the summer, and it will, Ont. Premier is going to get an earfull come fall, when the Provincial Election comes, and I hope he gets raked over the coals, from the public about adding the HST to almost everything. He's driving this province into the ground.

PEOPLE PLEASE TAKE THE TIME AND E-MAIL YOUR FRUSTRATIONS TO:

1) Prime Minister
2) Premier (especially Ont. who added the HST)
3) Every politician that represents your residential area.

ALL THE CONTACT INFO CAN BE FOUND ON THE FEDERAL & PROVINCIAL GOV'T. WEBSITES.
DON'T PROCRASTINATE...DO IT...DO IT NOW!

I'm going to email them and ask them to increase the tax on gasoline.

Best thing for our country's kids and grand kids.

Sorry, but it is laughable for people that drive the kind of cars that people on this web site drive to be complaining about gas prices.
You had to have known that the recent dip in prices when this Camaro first came out was an aberration. You should have known they would soon go up and they have. All the evidence was out there for those who wanted to look.

I love high hp big engine cars, too.
I fully expected gas to be this high at this time.
I fully expect it to be another 40 or 50 percent higher next year.

I don't complain. There is a finite supply and it is getting more expensive to get all the time. I believe in about 5 years time it is going to get serious.
Be happy now that you are getting cheap fuel.
It won't last.

The problem isn't fuel consumption, IMHO, it's the fact that 99% of everything that's manufactured these days is made out of petroleum based plastic. We need to find an alternative to pretroleum based plastics just as badly as, if not more than, we need to find an alternative to pretroleum based fuel. We can start by making bottled water illegal....all those plastic bottles containing a product we can all get for free from our taps is retarded.

When we run out of oil, and we will probably within ours or our kids' lifetimes, we are *screwed*....and how it affects transportation will be the least of our woes....we won't be able to MAKE ANYTHING anymore.

Buying the Volt is not the answer, and it never will be...sorry GM but it's not the answer to the world's oil issues.

The reason for this thread was the unjustified spike in gas all at once.
We all have daily drivers, no matter what they may be, and they have to run on fuel.
We're just upset that they're is not REAL justification in fuel prices to spike the way they do, yet they don't drop in the same manner.
There's lots the oil companies and government can do to keep things stable, but they choose not to.

If even "half" the reasons used for fuel prices going up the way they do were true, I have no problem paying the price.
Realistically, the reasons are all bogus, because if they weren't, then the fuel prices should go UP & DOWN accordingly, based on oil price trading, but WE all know that doesn't happen, people aren't stupid, they pay attention more now then ever.

That's my rant, take it for what it's worth, but the stats done't lie.
and adding to reason why was the spike highest in GTA only and not else where.

Also I travel to rogers and the gas tank lasts me a week and half everyday hwy driving which translate for me around 9 to 10 l/100 km which for a V6 3.6 is amazing and no complain there other than putting KMs on my car :(

Spoken like a politician.
(Politician: a seeker or holder of public office, who is more concerned about winning favor or retaining power, than about maintaining principles.
A person who acts in a manipulative and devious way, typically to gain advancement).

That's another factor that ticks me off, is the inconsistence of price across the country. Last time I checked we all use the same currency, and there's no exchange rate.
