Gas prices?

I filled up yesterday with 93 octane as usual and noticed it's 41 cents a gallon higher than regular. I don't really pay attention to gas prices very closely, but that struck me as a lot more. Is it? Is it the same everywhere?
I usually just fill up when I need it(what are you gonna do) but this got me wondering.

Around here (St. Louis), 93 runs 25 - 30 cents a gallon more.

It is close to that down here. I think most stations are .35 more.

It varies between different gas stations. I've seen premium anywhere between .20 & .35+ higher than regular here.

Its a .30-.40 increase over regular. About a $1K/year difference from the v6 vs v8 assuming 15K miles/year.

About .35-40 cents more in Los Angeles. You might cry if you knew what regular was to begin with.

I don't know where you're getting $1,000/year from. Using the EPA MPG numbers (28/17 for the V6, 24/16 for V8), it's nowhere near $1,000.

Using the highway numbers that gives you $562.50 difference per 15,000 miles. This is using $3.50 for regular and $3.90 for premium. If you average the highway/city miles together the difference per 15,000 miles is $591.67/year. Still significantly shy of $1,000. That comes to less than $50/month.
