i have heard this sound before, but never able to capture it. what does it sound like? i apologize for the horrible video, i really just wanted to capture the sound and had nothing but my phone on me.

Don't know if you had the AC on or not, but sounded like a bad compressor then disappeared as if the compressor kicked off.

the AC was off. any other LLT's out there make this weird noise? i would take it in to the dealership to get it checked out, but i'm quite confident they will not be able to replicate it.

I think i heard the AC compressor. I think I heard the clutch disengage. Point being - its not normal, likely cause is the AC. Take it to the GM doctor (service center) my friend.

yes it is the AC compressor, sounds like its got a bad bearing, was replacing the compressor to an 02 mitsubishi and it sounded exactly like that. take it in and get it replaced

Instead of posting a video all over the internetz, go run down to your dealer and let them listen to it!

i was just happy i was able to capture the sound. the sound is not constant, it just comes and goes as it pleases, although it has been occurring more and more lately. i'm afraid the dealership will turn the car on and hear nothing and look at me like i was crazy. well it is going in, thanks for the help all.

Just take it to the dealer and if you cant replicate it show them the video

This has been an issue in some of our customer cars as well. It seems the evac engages the compressor at times and even fails to disengage allowing it to run constantly until they fail in some cases. So far the dealers have corrected the problem with each of our customers so yours should take care of you. Were not sure if it is a BCM glitch or a relay sticking....but there is a fix.
