Foolishness that comes w/ owning a V6 2010 Camaro
Ok. I'm 26 yrs old and I've had my SIM 2LT V6 RS for about a month now and the novelty still hasn't wore off. At least for me. But why is it that people (aka HATERS) have something to say when I tell them it's a V6 RS instead of the V8 SS? As if this V6 is some sh*t. I've owned a V6 before and I swear it had no where near as much power as this baby have. I have been tested by many cars such as Challengers w/ Hemi, Mustang GT, Charger SRT8, Charger RT and a S550 Benz. Which by the way are ALL V8s. And I have honestly took each one of them off the line. (JUST off the line and thats it..lol...Well except the GT and the Charger R/T. I left both of their asses.) But I'm not into racing anyhow, I just love the way the car looks and plus I'll be driving mine all year round. So what the hell do I need a V8 SS for? Besides the woman I encounter seem to not care whether its a V6 or V8 and to me thats all that matters.
Now check this out.... I was sitting in front of the club the other night waiting for vallet while everybody in line was taking pics and talking about what they were looking at. So while I'm waiting this guy pulls up in a (I think) '72 Impala w/ candy paint, 24" wheels, and with something nasty under the hood. So while I'm sitting there waiting on the vallet guys, this joker starts hitting the gas and making his engine growl like a damn dinosaur was trying to get out of there. I mean yeah he showed me up with that loud ass engine and customized car, BUT what shut his parade down was when I laughed and said "All that customize stuff doesn't matter to me because he couldn't get what I have "stock" anytime soon anyway. Even if it is a V6. So its no point in modifing something when you are damn near the only one in your area with one.

Your 2LT/RS is perfect for you and thats all that matters. Its been discussed many times V8 or V6 and everyone has an opinion. Unfortuantely there will always be idiots out there that pick on you or put you down for having a v6, probably because they are jealous and can't affordd a v6 or v8 or they know even though its a v6 it will out perform their car. Now for me a 2SS/RS was the only way to go but thats me and I would never pick on anyone else for buying a V6. So enjoy your 300hp beast and screw all the haters out there.

Haters need to look at the v6 numbers again, that's quite a car... and for the price? No brainer

Theres nothing wrong with a v6 and honestly there is alot of people feeling the same way that you do as well. Dont let hater ruin your time they are just wanting to see what that car will do and its obvious they want bragging rights for it. a V6 with 304 HP ran right will out perform many of the stock cars out today. If your not racing for money why get a v8 least my thoughts on the subject

Ya you aren't alone, I've gotten a lot of crap (before even getting the car) from a lot of my friends for not getting the SS, but honestly the 2LT has twice the power of what I drive right now and I like the look of it better. Not to mention I saved $8000 just on the purchase price, plus decreased insurance and gas. I know they are all just jealous anyway so I don't let it get to me. I also know that when it finally comes in they are going to be blown away by it in person and will shut up.

I think the reason people tend to hate on V6 pony cars is because for so long they were so slow...all show and no go. That's definitely not the case with the 2010, but people are accustomed to that and will assume that a V6 2010 is a slow car.
Depending on your point of view that's not necessarily a bad thing. I know a guy with a Mustang GT that took the GT badges and rear spoiler off to make it look like a V6 car...he likes surprising people I suspect you could surprise a few people yourself with the 2010 V6 Camaro.

It's probably the same people who think you have to have
a stick shift! Who cares! As long as you are happy, that is all that truly matters. I would have gone with a V6, but I've wanted a Camaro since I was 12, so I went all out Enjoy |
