Really? Do we have to start this again?

Take the car to the dealer as they are supposed to stay on until you turn them off or shut off the car. At least that's how they work on my 2011, but perhaps it is different on the 2014.

I meant no disrespect to the V6 community as a whole, but if you take the time to go through post by post, the only unhelpful, smart ass remarks were made by the V6 guys. This is not imagined but fact. I was thinking maybe a different crowd owned the V6 cars vs. the V8. I'm not really sure. I come from the '04 - '06 GTO world where everybody pretty much had identical cars with few options and the only major differences being LS1 vs LS2, manual tranny vs auto, and 17"s vs 18"s. I will try both seats tonight on the way home and go from there. Thanks for everyone's help.

Under the drivers seat is a control module with a large plug... wiggle it a bit to reseat the pins. I had the same issue and this worked for me, its been 3 years now and no more problem.

I had that problem in my 2LT passenger seat occasionally. I'd turn it on, then it would turn itself off at random times. They couldn't duplicate it at the dealer then I traded the car in anyways, but it's nothing you did or are doing that is causing this problem.

I did a forum search when mine was acting up to see it wasn't an isolated problem, seems like most others that had the issue, the technician cleaned the connections on the connector under the seat and that fixed it.

Heated seats are great, but they aren't reliable.

Guys, I found out what it was. I had to raise the seat all the way up and move it all the way into the dash/steering column to see it. There is a wire not quite as big around as your pinky with a ethernet type connecting clasp on it that came undone. The plug and socket was laying neatly on the carpet underneath the seat just an inch apart from each other. The plastic latch that keeps the connection made is loose as all hell, junk. I was able to push the plug and socket together and turn the seat on, and sure enough, I could cook an egg on that bitch.

I checked underneath the passenger side and its connection seems secure. I've never had anyone sit behind my seat so I don't think it got damaged by a foot or anything. (I'm 6"3 and the back of my seat goes to within and inch or two of the bottom portion of the back seat). I think it just came with a bad connection from the factory.

After work I'm going to go get some electrical tape and wrap it up and that should be the end of it. I'll take a pic of it first though and post it on here for everybody to see. Thanks all for the help! I wouldn't have thought to look at wiring under the seat. I figured a motor burnt up in the cushion. Whew...

Exactly. I was asking a high brow non/knuckle dragging/poop throwing forum for HELP. If I wanted to be ridiculed, I'd go to one of the bogus pages on Facebook about this shit.
