I would define it as more of a muscle car. Its relatively big, pretty smooth, powerful and it can handle better than a normal car, but its no lotus. Its a car that straddles the line between sports car and just nice, powerful car (like a charger) that makes it a muscle car in my book.

V6 i would consider a sport coupe.. the V8 i would consider modern muscle
I cant really consider my V6 a muscle car with the way the V6 sounds lol
the muscle car era is coming back, with the mustang, camaro, challenger, charger; everyone is competing again and modding their cars. Its MODERN muscle.

Its a new breed of car its in between a sports car and a muscle car its something that deserves a new clasification its a CAMARO!..and for those who say a sports car is suppose to only have to seats have you seen the "back seat" of our camaros i wouldnt call that a back seat more like a storage department lol

The Camaro is the iconic muscle car, although, it makes sense that some might say it is a sports car, since it handles as good as many in that class. I would even go as far as to say Exotic, since it is an unusually designed car with a ton of power. Heck, it was even built in a foreign country.

It really is American in the truest sense of the word.

Mexican engine - V6 (Where is the V8 produced?)
French Transmission
Assembled in Canada.

A veritable melting pot of automotive goodness.

It's a Thoroughbred. Nothing else like it on the road.
Definition: Thoroughbreds are considered "hot blooded" horses known for their agility, speed and spirit.

I go with Muscle Car, because that is what USAA says it is and therefore my insurance is less because they don't classify it as a sports car. Even if my insurance didn't classify it as a Muscle Car, I would still classify it as such.

Coupe is a muscle car, the convertable Camaro is a sports car.

just my humble opinion.
