Discount Confusion
My wife just got a private offer to pop. I ran down to the dealer to try and trade in my 2013 on a 2014. The dealer could not get the private offer to work with the $1500 conquest rebate. They believe it is one or the other so essentially I have been trying to get a private offer for the last week for nothing. If anyone knows anything to the contrary please let me know.
I also tried to use the credit union discount but apparently that is not available with GM Card points. That is the first time I have ever had an offer that could not be combined with GM Card points. I think that sets a bad precedent as there are other card programs that I can use that are almost as generous and pay in cash. I ended up leaving the dealer without getting a new car. I thought the numbers were going to work. |

The private offer should be the last thing presented. It is supposed to work after all other discounts have been applied. If you are getting financing through the https://www.mygmdiscount.com/ , you should be getting that discount. The private offer should work like a cash incentive.

As I understand it , one can combine them , specially those GM points , that's cash money
The private offer it's good to combine even with USAA discounts The $2K CANT. be combined with the 0% , but can be added to the other offers Go to GM card membership and see what they say in there regarding those points The CONQUEST $1500 , you can only get that if you own or lease a 1999 or newer NON GM vehicle The private offer got to be on the same name as the buyer for the new car |

USAA is a private offer too. Only one private offer per transaction.

my GM card specifically says to do all the negotiating first. I've never heard of them denying it before, they get paid 1500 from gm anyway. go to another dealership, I had similar problems at the first dealership I checked for my camaro

GM Card and Credit Union Discount
I am still working on researching the discounts. Here is what I found on the faq's at http://www.lovemycreditunion.org/GM-...mbers-174.html
Can I combine this with any GM reward card earnings? You can combine the discount with Earnings from the GM Extended Family Card or the GM Business Card. Earnings from theses GM reward cards are in addition to most current incentives GM may offer. The Credit Union Member Discount from GM is not stackable with the blue, gold, copper or platinum flex cards. I have the old GM card. I suspect it is a "flex card" but I will contact GM and see what they say. I always thought it was the same as cash. |

Here is the information that I received from the GM Card.
GM world Regular Card earnings have not been compatible with the GM New Vehicle Purchase Program discount since August 1, 2003, This includes the Credit Union Discount. There were several notifications sent to both customers and dealers. Some were independent mailings, while others were included in your billing statements. We apologize if you did not see any of these notices, but GM Cardmember Services made every effort to contact all eligible Cardmembers. |

I got my 2014 2LT/RS in May this year. Here are the discounts I got:
$2000 Chevy cash back $1000 private offer $1200 GM Card earnings I got price quotes from about six different dealers that had the exact model I wanted. I did notify all dealerships what discounts I was applying and they should factor that into their best offer. One asked me if I was a credit union member but I'm not sure how that factored into his quote. He ended up having the lowest price with all of the discounts applied above. |

How do you get the conquest offer? I know it is for those with non-GM vehicle, but do you have to take in a coupon or do you just ask the dealer for the rebate?
