2010 Camaro Grille Fading
My front grille is fading kinda bad in some spots. The left side is okay, but over by the "RS" there are white streaks and bad fading. Anything to help this or to make it "new.??

Have you tried Armor- All? Some plastics accept it well, others not so much, but with many automotive plastics, I've had pretty good results.

If you want exterior automotive plastics to stay looking new and fresh, you need to keep them coated with a UV-inhibitive dressing, since it's the sun exposure that mostly does that.
There are a couple really good trim dressings out there (Armor-All is not one of them - the silicone content is too high, and after awhile, silicone eventually dries out the plastic), but the best "bang-for-the-buck" one is a water-based dressing called "Trim & Tire Guard Plus" made by the detailing company Ultima. It dries to a soft, smooth and non-greasy sheen (you can bump up the gloss with more coats) and lasts for a loooong time (+2 months, even on daily drivers). It doesn't run when exposed to water, either, like most dressings. It actually beads water like a wax and it does a great job at protecting the plastic and blocking UV rays. |
