I don't regret it at all. What I do regret is not letting my sales guy talk me into the ZL1 they had sitting in the showroom. In a couple of years I will trade up and get one.

If one cannot afford the extra $5 per tank in gas they also cannot afford the car period.

Unless the purchaser is rich per say, I think we all have a little "buyers remorse"
... I know I do, and I haven't even bought the car yet. To make matters worse I ordered the car without even knowing the price. But I have a general idea on how much it'll cost. I really can't justify buying a $45,000 car seeing how I can find a million ways to spend it otherwise. But I love the car, and if I don't get it, I know I'm going to wish I'd done it. ... I dunno, Does that make sense?

That's how I consider it too. I could do with or without my Camaro. Take away all my toys though, and I become grouchy.

Premium for the 2SS is still cheaper than diesel for the Cummins pickup, if one is basing their purchase on premium/regular, then the SS is probably not the way to go. If one is basing their purchase on the driving experience of having an SS, then the cost of premium is a non issue, IMHO.

I had my heart set on a 2SS convertible with the 6speed manual trans. Settled on the 2SS hard top Automatic because of the deal I got on the car. Car had 5324 miles on it when I bought it in Oct of 2011 and got it for $25k. Couldn't say no.

Do you own a home? If not, then save the money and buy a house. That should be the first priority. If you own a home, then go ahead and get it. Only you know if you can afford the monthly payment, mortgage, gas, etc. Personally I think it is a silly financial move to buy a $40K car if you're paying rent. In the long run you will appreciate the fact that being a homeowner makes you wealthier. Think of it as building a pyramid...first food, then shelter, then family stability, then Camaro.

I have bought 2 1LTs, when I looked at the cost difference on initial purchase the $8,000 difference between the 1LT and 1SS in my opinion was not worth spending the money for. I have never regretted purchasing either car for the engine, but I did end up trading my 2010 coupe for a 2012 Convertible.

have a 1lt and I love it, but one day I wouldn't mind an SS. No regrets just wish I lived somewhere I could drive it all year!
