Closer than anything east of the Mississippi.
Closer than anything west of the Grand Canyon/Rockies. Close enough for me! I survived C5F3!!!

Yeah, sure, alienate 75% of the members by having it in New Jersey
1,200 miles is about the one-way limit most people are willing to drive. And that's being extremely generous. Just looking at most of the posts in this thread, that number should probably be closer to 100 miles But take a look at this map, and tell me, exactly why should we have it in New Jersey if the point is NOT to alienate as many people as possible? (The green circle has a radius of 1200 miles centered on Zip Code 07726) P.S. - And that's as the crow flies. The circle should probably be a little smaller since there's a pretty big difference between straight line and road miles. But you get the picture...

^^^^^Great visible reference but also consider as mentioned multiple times in this thread.....pretty much that same circle represents 60%+ of the entire US population.
A little further south and west would add almost all of ND, SD, NE, KS, OK and TX as people within that circle. Move that circle to VIR and see what it looks like:P IMO that would make 70% of the country within that range. Hard to argue with the "arithmetic" :P <<<<stole that from Clinton and Obama :P

Lebanon,Kansas is the true center of the lower 48. Somewhere close to that would make things fair.

And using the U.S. population density is flawed logic. The distribution of Camaros across the U.S. doesn't correlate with the distribution of people across the U.S. We've gone over this fact before. More Camaros are sold in Texas and California than any other state in the Union. If the Camaro distribution really did follow the U.S. population distribution, then more Camaros would be sold in New York alone than anywhere else. But, to humor your requests, here are a few more maps for you to take a look at... Map 1: Virginia International Raceway (Zip Code 24520) with a 1,200 mile radius. Again, you've got almost half the circle in the Ocean. Map 2: Royal Purple Raceway in Houston (Zip Code 77523) with a 1,200 mile radius around Houston, since it keeps getting brought up. I'm sure all the shrimp and oil reserves in the Gulf will be happy they can attend Camaro5Fest Map 3: Gateway Motorsports Park in St. Louis (Zip Code 62201) because someone mentioned St. Louis and I figured I would go ahead and map it. Gateway actually makes a lot of sense, the problem there, though, is the track looks kind of small and there's not many hotels nearby that could room the number of people Camaro5 expects to pull in for the next Fest, even if that number remained the same as for C5F3.

Houston also has a ton of it's circle in the Ocean and other countries.

Not trying to be biased at all but as Director of Special Events for Adam's I spend a lot of time at shows and I would vote Colorado! I just moved from Texas about a week ago as you can see from my plates. I think the crowd would appreciate the beautiful scenery as well as the weather. Texas is great but it is HOT and humid during the summer and the weather can be somewhat unpredictable, especially during hurricane season. I know when I am working a show it is much more fun if the climate is enjoyable.
