Huh..so it's based on the ZL1?

That doesn't bode particularly well for a potential Z/28 :( Unless of course the Z/28 is also a ZL1 version?

The PWC cars fielded by blackdog were also "ZL1" before the Z28.R was released. I wouldn't be too worried.

Nice. Looks like the maybe the same engine/trans as the C7.R, albeit, tuned to class specs?

I think the C7.R has a 5.5L?

Yep, just looked that up. Also just read on the PWC site the 6.2L in the GT4.R is a dry sump LT1.

I'm very curious about the changes and tuning done on that LT1 to get it to this race spec.

I know dry sump is part of it, but all the other bits have my curiosity piqued.

The Xtrac is spec'd for 600 lb ft max torque, the engine may be close to stock.....

Probably is fairly close to stock. I think the 5.2 Voodoo is essentially unchanged from the road car to the race car. Don't quote me on that though. I think GT4 has some sort of Balance of Performance for the class so everyone will get along nicely, kinda like GT3.

I think the GT4 has a cross plane 5.2 Coyote, not the Voodoo.
