Actually... I've gone the last 2 years. And both years it was asked that it be 'business attire' So both years I came in shirt, tie and khaki's (an uncomfortable thing to wear walking around a casual autoshow imo).

My dad went with me both years and asked if we HAD to wear a tie and such. I insisted it was what they asked. (Though he has more 'business' clothing than I do.)

Both years we got there and people's clothing ranged from suit to jeans/tshirt. And nothing was said about it. My dad leaned over to me and said 'we didn't have to wear a tie'.

2007 I understood, we were invited on Press Day (though even that day there were people 'underdressed'). 2008 was merely an early entrance on the first public day, so didn't really see the point. We even got the comment from the news people signing autographs (I forget if it was 3 or 10) that we were a bit overdressed for a car show jokingly.

Unless it's on Press Day again (which was nicer) I'll be in a comfortable Polo Shirt, jeans and sneakers...

This is in no way a complaint, because I appreciate them doing this for us. It's just an observation that if they want to claim to have a dress code, they need to enforce it and, unfortunately, turn anyone away not conforming to it.

(....I'm truly happy that so many want to go!...)

Here's the deal -- we're going to do something..........

BUT.............

ONCE AGAIN, my work computer melted down - lost the hard drive -- (and I'm hoping that the Camaro addresses haven't been lost again....) and all details are deep within that computer.........

They're working on recovering whatever they can......

Once I get it back, we will post info. so that you can sign up...........

it's a matter of 'dress to impress' -- what we're trying to overcome is the 'mullet' myth....and thus we ask everyone to dress appropriately.

You may not have been aware, but there was a group from a Corvette club that were there, and very possibly were the one's dressed more casually.

I know this for a fact as my sister, and her boyfriend rode the train into Phila., and met a large number of them.

So as Scott said, if the event occurs, for a few hours, "dress to impress". I don't think its too much to ask.

Please don't think anything I said was a complaint. It wasn't meant to be. I appreciate what you do for us.

I'll dress decent. LOL I promise, no mohawk and grunge.

No, I wasn't aware of that to be honest.

So... What you're saying is... Camaro Enthusiasts are more 'upscale' than Corvette ones? LOL
