My ss has horrendous road noise, I can't even use the phone top up. Planning on renting before I buy but not really looking at other cars. I'm a camaroholic.........

I drove a 2002 SS when they came out. It was quick but the ride was out of the question. When the new Camaros came out I drove them all. I knew I wanted one from day one. Its a tight smooth road car.

Agreed!

The 328 is a much lighter car isn't it, smaller wheelbase etc. Cost more. Really not comparable. Plus the BMW is lacking in the coolness factor.

anyone know if the side mirrors can be set to lower when the car is placed in reverse? It's a handy feature my current car can be set to do (have to put the mirror adjustment lever to left or right and when the car goes in reverse they lower so you can see your wheels and assist in missing curbs, etc.)

if thats the case, than what BMW is really comparable ? none. the 1 series is the same way, the 5 series is a luxury car.

the camaro is for sure more of a head turned no doubt. but BMW owners don't think that way. its much more of a classy car, that targets different type of person. plus in the end, its a BMW enough said.

Thanks for the input and I welcome more comments.
If you're looking for sporty and refined have you considered a CTS-V?

I think a cts v stretches the budget
Too much. My wife would need a big raise! Plus I haven't accepted my age yet.

I think you'll be happy with the 5th gen. Just test drive one. Make sure to leave your wallet in the car so that you don't accidentally buy one on the spot though
