Trick to waxing

Just bought a brand new Transformer Camaro!! After driving it for a few hundred miles it is time to bring the shine back. I just purchased “Meguiar’s” ultimate paste wax, has anybody used this before? Also, does any body have any tips on waxing around the rally racing strips decal? Thank you for any advice given.

Don't wax any stripes or decals that are matte finish, I use detail spray to clean them up, still looking good after a year and a half, I leave a good 1/4" at least around the stripes so I don't get white stuff around the edges

mask off your stripes using painters tape, if your stripes are gloss they could be waxed, detail spray is also good for your stripes

Thanks for the advice. I am going to use the painters tape and leave 1/4" of space.

VRT is really a great product for any of your Vinyl or rubber. It doesnt leave any sort of greasy or wet look, just a nice clean "new" look.

I wonder if Adams SVRT would work for the Transformer stripes as they have a 'carbon fiber' like texture to them?

We have the same car as the OP and I'm curious about that too.

I have a faux carbon decal on my hood and I use BLACKFIRE Crystal Seal. I have also used BLACKFIRE Crystal Seal on matte finished Lamborghini's and it maintains a clean look while promoting water beading.

Dustin, with Meguiar's Ultimate Paste Wax, you want to remove shortly after applying. If you allow it to haze too long it can be a little difficult to remove. Wipe on, wait a few moments, wipe off. Its a great looking product.
