I would think that should not be hard since no one can sell cars right now. I haven't asked any dealers yet because I'm waiting for some things to pan out first. I will definitely subscribe to this thread though.

All I could find was a few dealers that wanted over MSRP and 2 that would sell at MSRP but one dealer wanted a $3500 deposit and the other only required a $500 deposit so I placed my order with them. If you check further you might find GMS but I like my salesman at ELCO and felt comfortable dealing with him at MSRP. If GM is running any incentives at time of delivery he said I would get them. I hope this helps and good luck.

Elco Chevy and Weber Chevy (Creve Coeur) were taking orders at MSRP with just $500 down. I am not sure if either of them still has any allocations left.

I was first at Lou Fusz and dealer called me today gave me the option to order an SS or wait on the V6. I had to decline, I'm stuck on a fully equipped LT2 with everything available. Good place to go as well. Sales rep said only 5 total orders there.

I didn't check because it's been the best experience not to tell them until you're closing your deal. I am using GMS myself. Even if they won't my employer is so huge that Fusz gives discounts and i seriously doubt they want a bad rep reported to my job. I've bought a couple cars from them. It's been a good experience to date. The next person that ordered an SS after me owes me lunch because it was hard as hell to decline Fusz & GM's offer to bump up to the Super Sport

I have my order in at Elcho (ask for Pat Stroker). At this point, they say no to discounts, but I still plan to push it at closing. I'll still be happy if I don't get it, but it would be a an added bonus. They are very nice there, and I know they won't try to screw me at the last minute with the pricing.

If you guys are looking for lower than MSRP...closer to invoice pricing....you need to look outside St. Louis to some of the smaller town dealerships. There are several down 44 and out 70 that have allocation and are willing to deal.
Don't settle for MSRP and definitely don't pay higher than MSRP....you're just getting your "lips ripped off" as my Father in law would say. (and he's a GM dealer) |
