Also, the fastest stock 2010 GT time that I have seen, with my own eyes, was at Sonoma Raceway in California. A bone-stock GT hooked up perfectly and ran a 12.9 @ 106.4 MPH.
Wow the 2010 GTs FINALLY broke 12s lol. That 12.9 is all it will see though...

I would say the difference is about .2-.3 tenths. Still a drivers race.

I know the best 4th gen time is about 12.8 (some have claimed 12.7 but I doubt it). What is the best 10GT time stock to date?...13 flat is what I have in my memory but I could be wrong. The ls1 cars have also trapped up to 109...I think the GT is up to about 106 max.

Definitely a good race.

word.

they are a very good race 0-60 but then the ls1 starts to take over and never looks back.

its a good race with the advantage going to the LS1. The 4.6SOHC can only do so much, it aint the 5.0!

I'm just saying.......we can have a thread about the best steaks and what restaraunt and it will somehow wind up that there was a Mustang and Camaro in the parking lot and go down hill from there.

With equal drivers and conditions..the 2002 Camaro SS wins by a tenth, maybe a bit less or more.
FWIW i weighed my premium stang when it was stock and it came in at 3503 LB

FWIW, when I had my H/C 98 z28 weighed at exotic performance plus in 2006 before the dyno tune it was 3297 with about 1/3 tank of fuel.

It's not that much of a drivers race guys. Yes, it will come down to the driver, but 9/10 the SS will win. It has a power AND weight advantage. The average "good" ls1 run I see at the track is a lowish 13(13.2-13.3). The average "good" 3v run I see is a mid-high 13 (13.6-13.7) If it goes to high speeds, the 3v is gonna get a womping.

I agree that equally driven the LS1 wins 90% of the time.

If the LS1 is faster it would win 100% of the time if they are equally driven...
