the only reason i wanna know my tpw is cuz i wanna know if imma be built b4 or after the vacation week...id rather know now and get over it then deal with the anticipation and then havent to be pissed about it lata...like i said i few times already i am going away for my bday the end of july and want to take my car...im booking something through my time share and if i wont get the camaro in time ill post pone it for the weekend after my bday not before... i know things are moving quickly now and i dont have to deal with the shit early vin ppl did...which i am very grateful...its just that a bunch of ppl stated that they got tpws when they just went to 3000 this passed thurs, and if they can get then why cant i? so ur saying that all these people are bullshiting us cuz they like to hear themselves talk? bottom line is, i just wanna know my tpw...and you guys cant honestly say if you were in mine and others shoes you wouldnt wanna know too...

just noticed trans post about the numbers for may...
Camaros produced in May 09: 6,901 Total Camaros produced to date (since March 16, 2009): 14,715 if they made 6901 in may without the over time and not at max production for the full month, then there is no way we all cant get a tpw in june...this has giving me faith i will be built b4 july...i have to be, i just wouldnt make sense if atleast 7500 cars are built and thats being generous, then by the end of june we shouldbe over vin 21,000 and there is no way that wont fill all the preorders on top of then dealer/avis cars...what do you guys think?

I got to 3300 last Friday. I know a post went out a couple of weeks ago stating no more TPW to be given out by GM C/S. So for me, no biggie. I wanted my car yesterday but I know things are moving.
For the original OP, yeah that sucks you have vacation coming but I would say just focus on your vacation... if your Camaro shows up when you are gone, i'm sure your dealer will be happy to hold on to it. You get back and boom... refreshed from vacation and you get your car.

I hope I am moving too.........since the 1-800 number gave me a TPW that everyone says cannot be true, I havent moved up yet. But by looking at other's sigs my June 29th TPW seems right on. It seems that it takes about a month from 3000 to built typically.

I just got off the phone with GM CS and I was pretty pleased with the friendliness and patience of the person I spoke to.
Going in, I reminded myself to be as polite as possible...(this goes a long way when asking for anything from anyone). A woman picks up my call. I gave my name and explained that I simply would like to get an update (but truth was, I really just wanna have my own experience with GM's customer service line since there are varying results posted by people here---mostly negative impressions). The woman asked for my dealer's name, type of car and order #. She politely asked me to hold on a few while she contacts the Order desk to get any information on my car. She came back after 3-5 minutes and very apologetic that I have had to be on-hold for that long. She told me that my order has been picked up for production but no date on when it will be produced (TPW) since there are a ton of orders ahead of mine...she said, first in-first out (not entirely true but I got the point) but she suggested I call every week if I want to so I can get the latest update on my order. She said the system is updated every WEDNESDAY. I will be getting my information from my dealer but I just wanted to test the customer service line. A+ If you make a customer service person feel like he/she is doing you a favor and you ask politely and don't approach them with the attitude like "Your job is to answer my questions, I demand you do your job!", you will find that he/she maybe more willing just go the extra step to help you. |
