They should be reported to GM and be the first ones put on the chopping block, for not helping to move cars. In this day and age with the economy as it is, dealers should be focused on sales and customer service, and nothing else. Make the people happy, move cars. Getting greedy while your supplier in bankrupt seems stupid to me. |

Joelster, yeah I know I could find a less expensive carrier to ship it, but most of the cheap companies put the car on an open rack truck. I'd feel a lot more secure if it was an enclosed truck. Cheapest closed truck shipping I've found from NY is $1595. If I could find a GMU priced dealer in NY with an exact match, I might pay the $1600, to ship it. Just not sure how I'd do all the paperwork long distance... Unless they would let me do it all by email and buy it on my CC (which would be awesome, cause I need the miles anyway).

Ny is fairly wide. Did they mean New York City? NYC is almost 600 miles east of me. That dealer I listed is literally a few miles from Lake Erie, approx 1.5 hours from the Ohio/PA border. I don't see what the big deal is about an open carrier. I mean the cars that go to your local dealer come from Oshawa (1.5 hours from) to your dealer on an open carrier.
