Fixing up a 78 Trans Am - newbie question
Hi - thinking about picking up a local 78 Trans Am that's for sale. It needs a new headliner and carburetor (Olds 403 engine). Otherwise it looks pretty solid.
Any idea what this would approximately cost me in parts & labor in the SF Bay Area? Thanks

I just purchased new headliner material for my 80' Camaro from NPD for $67.00 (OEM Dark Blue - Perforated Material w/ Foam Backing). My original T-Top headliner is in mint condition, but is starting to sag by the rear window on passenger side. The foam backing pulled away from the adhesive do to age. So, I decided to replace it with new material, as I show the car.

Extremely safe bet would be $1000. Just depends on the carb, but really should be do-able for $500. Check the trunk, quarters, rockers, and rear frame rails for rust. As well as the floors.
Good luck! |
