The 1LE was a concept we showed at SEMA -
Curious - what do each of you think about it? The car, that is - not the calendar...... Should we build it? We're listening! Camaro 1LE Concept Born in the Camaro’s third generation and refined further in the fourth generation as a road-racing performance package, the legendary 1LE option code designation returns to the Camaro as a concept intended to carve up road courses. While only a concept, it borrows production components from both the Camaro SS and forthcoming Camaro ZL1 to deliver a competition-ready package. Hash mark graphics on the front fender are pure Chevrolet racing cues, too. Vehicle highlights: ■Victory Red exterior color, with flat black hood and hash mark extensions ■Satin black splitter, rocker panels, rear spoiler and outside mirrors ■Sport suspension featuring Magnetic Ride Control ■Electric power steering ■Six-speed manual close-ratio transmission ■Lightweight 20x10-inch (front) and 20x11-inch (rear) racing wheels (satin black) ■Goodyear® Eagle F1 Supercar G asymmetrical tires (from the ZL1) ■Brembo® six-piston front calipers, with two-piece front rotors, and four-piston rear calipers (Chevrolet Official Licensed Product) ■Dual exhaust outlets with ZL1-style active exhaust and diffuser ■Shock tower brace ■Chevrolet Accessories red engine cover ■Black leather interior with Light Stone stitching ■Graphite Silver door and instrument panel inserts ■ZL1 shifter with Light Stone stitching ■ZL1 flat-bottom steering wheel ■Chevrolet Accessories pedal kit “The Camaro 1LE concept is all about the track,” said Al Oppenheiser, chief engineer for the Camaro. “It’s an all-out race car package that pays tribute to that special option from the past.”

If it was available in more colors than just red, I'd choose it over the ZL1

Dang right you should build it! A 1LE as the concept was presented would be the perfect Camaro for me. Make one in blue and this life of working 3 jobs will have been handsomely rewarded.

Would it be it's own line? Like LS, LT, 1SS, 2SS, (1LE), ZL1? Would it be better marketed as an option on the 1 or 2 SS? That would seem more beneficial to me. A bare bones 1SS (if it could possibly be considered "bare") with the 1LE package might seem better to a performance minded customer who wouldn't want all of the creature comforts found in the 2SS.
Just thinking out loud. And I have a early year '91 RS B4C that came out just before the 1LE kicked in. Dang.

I really like the 1LE.......as a 16 teen year old i think it would be a cheaper car than the ZL1 but you get the same performance as the zl1 I think it would be a cool and simple performance model to make.........THE 1LE can also go up against the boss 302. i think gm should make it but make it with a mode that can record the 0 to 60 times and like a lap timer..........i was watching a video on the dodge srt8s and all of them have like a g force chart and a lap timer which should be cool when u go to the track.

1LE (Z-28) Would you buy one if GM offered it?
This poll is for Fbodfather, he requested a simple poll to see if what the forum interest is in the 1LE concept or as we know it on Camaro5.com call it Z-28.

Really like the idea of the package and what you get with it.
Do not like the idea of it coming in 1 color. Just another opinion
