passenger window express operation

My passenger window express function when activated on the driver side will go all the way up but then comes down half way. The only way to get it to close all the way is to heep tapping the control till it's closed all the way. Is this normal? Has anyone else had this problem?

doesn't sound normal. both my windows all you have to do is press the button all the way down and the window either goes all the way down or up.

Thanks! I just tried it again under different cenreios like engine running, engine off, key on accessories, key off (reserve power), etc. and found that there is no pattern. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't.

Mine are both iffy at times. Usually a 2nd tap gets the job done.

Yup, i get that as well random times.

i always forget to document when it happens as it has only been about 4 times over 4 months. It must be a safety feature to not lock your keys in the car?

In the owners manual, it explains how to "reprogram" the windows...I had to do mine, mine wasn't going up that extra 1/2" that it drops, when you open the door. I think with the door closed, you roll it all the way down, then immedialtely roll it back up, when it gets to the top, hold it for 2-3 secounds with the button in the up position and it reprograms it. Not sure it that's the exact scenerio, but it's something like that. It explains it in the owners manual. Hope this helps.

^What he said. It's the same process with a Corvette. Roll both windows all the way down, hold, then back up, hold, then down, hold, then up hold. This will reprogram them and should fix any problem you have.
