Hot Rod Power Tour 2010 starts in Iowa!

I went to the Hot Rod Power Tour when it came through Ames a couple of summers ago and was pretty cool. I plan to go in a few weekends when it starts in Newton, IA.

Monday June 7 - DuQuoin, IL, DuQuoin State Fairgrounds
Tuesday June 8 - Bowling Green, KY, Warren County Airport
Wednesday June 9 - Chattanooga, TN, Chattanooga State Community College

There is some information available on the Iowa Speedway website about the HRPT.

GM Performance Division will have a 2010 Indy Pace Car Camaro, 2010 Camaro Dusk, and 2010 Camaro Synergy along with other vehicles.

Car designer Chip Foose is also going to be at the Magnaflow display.

If you like to look at cars and browse aftermarket displays you should head out. You can join the cars at Newton for $25 or go as a spectator for FREE.

I am hoping to go check it out, but not sure if that is going to work for me yet.

It turned out to be a nice day on Saturday and I made it over to check out the HRPT. I spent 2 1/2 hours and that wasn't really even enough time. There were a lot of vehicles to check out and they were letting people drag race in pit lane.

I took a few pictures and working on putting them up on Shutterfly. Right now I only have a few of the 2010 Camaros that were there. Included are cars from GM display like Camaro Dusk and an Indy Pace Car. Also, KILR BEE and pictures of a Lingenfelter Performance SD 455 Trans AM.
