Will have to call uncle Ted tomorrow and see if my expectations were out of line.
The bad time is in your 60 foot time. If the car bogs out of the hole you can gernerally add a solid half second to your time slip at least. Might be time to add higher stall torque converter being at auto car.

Would love a converter and gears, however I believe the car should be running better than it is with the existing stuff. Other stuff will come in due time.

Thanks. I never wanted to see a 13 sec time slip again either, hence the mods I made and I didn't go til I got some decent tires. I did leave my engine cover on but it was a cool night and I just don't think the heat was a factor. Opened up the hood and waited a good 30 min between runs. I ran a car for several years bracket racing years ago, so I wouldn't say I'm a Noob at this but every car is different. Sent Ted at JRE a message to get his thoughts on the issue.

Does the washer fluid tank come out easily? I have read that the scoop and relocation kit is a decent mod.

You really have to work two aspects of your times, the 60 ft and then everything else.

I've raced on a great track and also a marginal one now with my Nittos. At Norwalk I added air the track was so good. Back home at GLD I took them down again. If you do a good burnout and can't hook < 25 psi, maybe your local track prep sucks bad. My local track GLD does not prep on weeknights, so it's been my experience that the track gradually goes away unless we have a lot of cars running down it to keep heat in it. Plus the radial guys create bald spots on the starting line.

I always look at slips to compare where I could be by the 330, 1/8, etc. I've not cracked 90mph at the 1/8th but I'd love to. It's gonna take like some 500 DA air or something for me to do it at this point. Last time out I ran 12.51 - 12.60, but consistently at 110-111 so my tune is pretty good. I have changed stuff in my trans tune twice since the first tune trying some stuff, some of which worked, and some of which that didn't.

Appears the time lost is in your Launching / 60'.
After more practice and getting my 60' down I increased my ETA by 0.4

The car is hooking very well and bogging down the motor...Once the car gets rolling it seems to be running fine.

I don't think any amount of practice will eliminate the bog. I tried off idle stabbing the throttle, was worse. Holding the throttle and RPM up about 1000-1100 RPM up on the converter yielded the best results.

There's your problem, your bogging it. Why not try launching at a higher rpm to prevent that?

Does your tuner have your fans coming on sooner? Makes a difference.

Try to get your incrementals more like mine:

Damn dude you ran almost exactly the same et and mph as I did! I didn't have headers or drag radial tho

Even with the 60 something is off. I am on the fast list L99 bone stock with a run very very similar to yours from back in the day. Did you get out of the hole good? No BUT you hit the 1/8th at almost identical time but nearly 3mph faster than i did and still only managed to beat my run by .1

You finished the 1/4 still only 3mph faster so you gained nothing on my run with those mods. Clearly you were not pulling like you should beyond the 1/8 either.

Similar weather and DA

Sounds like you're doing everything right.

Therefore, it's the tune. You'll need to log it and look at timing. Chances are you're pulling timing because of grannies left in the tune or unaccounted for Knock Reduction.

assuming your went to gulfport, I almost went myself. The last time that I did go there was a stock 45th Anniv. auto running 13.48's. 60 foot was close to this and it was a lot hotter.

You going back out next week? I'm going to try again to go.
