I hate to see that! what a waste. I wonder what track allows a sub 14 second car to run without a helmet??? It must be a V-6.

He probably took it off and threw it against the dash before he got out. He looked pretty pissed.

I'm going to chalk this one up to experience. I think everyone who has ever raced has experienced this. You've got so much adrenaline pumping through your muscles that the excitement kind of overpowers your logic. He probably just stayed in it expecting it to eventually hook up, but it never did.

I'm not going to rag on him too much, since he probably got too excited and didn't realize he should let off. If anything, I feel bad for him. Not only did he just ruin his brand new Camaro, he is about to be the butt of every Camaro joke on every single car forum on the Internet. Sucks.

The way the tires were smoking, I'd say that was a SS.

Wow, hope he's OK. I'm not going to judge him, but that sucks! He'll just have to part it out, and pay off the difference if financed. Man when I hear that "POP" noise, I hurt!

What car was he barely beating before he lost control? At least the other car got past the crash before it happened.

If you read the youtube video description, using the little Spanish I know, it happened at a track in Guadalahara New Mexico

EDIT: Also a good reason to leave Traction Control ON for the first few times!
