I hope you CALLED the COPS. In my state his CAR would have been Impounded and he wouldn't get it back Untill he Proved he had gotten ins. and he'd also get a ticket.

In Maryland if 2 people hit each other in a parking lot, you pay for your own repairs.

Why would u pay a deductible on that. Most insurance cover non insured motorist and don't make you pay a deductible

Here in NC you will get a ticket in a public vehicular area (parking lot). I know I write them all the time lol

I would have WANTED to kick his but. But probably wouldn't have.
I've got too much to lose from a lawsuit. Some laws need to be changed.

One single punch in the nose should be defensible in court.

Judge: "Why did you assault this man?"

Sorry to hear about your situation. I just had my car fixed because of an uninsured incident myself. A woman the size of a hippopotamus riding a bicycle failed to yield me the right of way and plowed into my passenger rear quarter panel. The whole side got caved in! She's lying on the ground looking at me and the first thing out of my mouth was, "look what you did to my car!" She wasn't bleeding or anything and was fine, but stupidity can be very resilient. My insurance company is going after her for recouping my deductible. Yeah, right. I'll get repaid in Twinkie wrappers.....

I cursed out a mother with her kid for opening her door and scratching my paint....i cant even imagine what would happen if some genius backed up into my car.

..The mother deserved to get cursed out, she didnt care one bit and denied that there was a scratch.

No one in the law enforcement, insurance, or judicial community refers to them as accidents. They aren't. Carelessness, not paying attention, or just plain stupidity contributes to 99.9% of crashes. The only exception is a kid or animal running out in the middle of the road and you taking evasive action to avoid colision.

Remember the "private parking lot" idea or procedure that law enforcement can't enforce or cite for traffic infractions in a lot is a state by state basis. Florida, as well as many other states, allows LEO to cite in any public access parking lot... just food for thought.
