24 Hours of Daytona

Of course it was a Corvette 1,2 finish with the 4 car first and the 3 second.

What is truly amazing is they both recorded their fastest laps of the race in the final hour.

The 3 car had a 1.44.012 on lap 707 of 722.

Talk about showing off

The supposed heirs to the throne the Ford GT Ecoboost finished 31st and 40th

with the top car completing 690 laps.

The fastest GT EB lap was 1.44.391 on lap 42 by the 40th place car.

The only other lead lap car in the class was a Porsche 911RSR.

The Ford boys think they will have better results at Sebring.

I find that laughable, that track is so rough on cars that the 12 hours are harder on cars than most 24 hour races.

You better have your nuts on tight there or somethings falling off

I watch it and loved it. When it came down to the final hour, the Vettes just took it up a whole new level. I also loved the racing hard against each other at the end, risky, but more fun to watch.

Yeah, the new Fords couldn't take the pounding. Hated to see it but they will keep improving. The new Audi's looked pretty tough too.

and what a performance by the kid driving the Patron car. Kid is a natural and will have a great career ahead of him for a long time.

Yeah the Patron sponsored Prototype set fast lap of the race on lap 6 and never looked back.
