Is a Ported Throttle body worth it????

I have a Camaro SS 6spd manual. I'm looking at several engine/performance mods. The basic upgrade I will do is headers and performance exhaust (with a cam too). I have a CAI intake and will put in the ADM air scoop. Everything will be tied together with a custom tune. Would putting in a ported throttle body make the car that much better? Its a fairly cheap mod, and it will add some HP.......so why not

For throttle response, yes. HP gains are very minimal if any. I have the Powder Pro TB and its powder coated not painted. They did great work.

I will find out at the end of the month. Going to do back to back testing on my LS3/M6 on the dyno and then again at the end of next month on another dyno.

For a true comparison, consider doing before and after on the same dyno. Using a different dyno may give you different numbers even without changing anything on the car. They are not all calibrated the same.

I have the VMax and the apex intake scoop... these two mods probably don't add much if anything but they can't hurt. Supposedly both help with throttle response.

For what you pay for it, you get a minimal gain in HP but I definitely noticed the increase throttle response which was very nice Get one!

I noticed no change with mine, but kept it because I had it painted to match the car.

Best bet is to on the same dyno, same day do 3 runs with the stock TB, then swap in the ported (VMax is far different than hand ported) TB and do 3 runs to average both.

I noticed a smoother throttle response and what I perceive as quicker power delivery. Doubt there is a power increase or at least not enough to feel.

I thought thats what I said.

"I will find out at the end of the month. Going to do back to back testing on my LS3/M6 on the dyno and then again at the end of next month on another dyno."

Meaning at the end of the month(the 31st) Im going to do back to back testing on my LS3/M6 on the dyno(a Dynocom) and then again(another back to back) at the end of next month(the 29th) on another dyno(a Dynojet). So there will be two different dynos on two different days with the same car and the same stock TB tested against the same ported TB.

Well worth it just for the throttle response. I could feel more difference form the VMax than the intake and exhaust.
