5th gen Winter Tires

Not every Camaro fan lives in California or Florida. Some of us live in parts of the world where you actually get snow for more than a week
... and want to drive Camaro at that time too!

So the question is: will there be stock/GM winter tires for Camaro widely available (for all the rim sizes)? How much will a set of four cost?

Alternatively what non-GM winter tires would you recommend?

Yeah, I know that driving a rear-wheel driven car in winter is not the best idea. Screw that

And by the way: what will be the exact tire sizes for 5th gen (both variants, i.e. 18-inch basic and 19/20-inch RS)?

Has anyone gotten a look at the tire prices for the wheel sizes that have been posted so far?... OMG! I'm going to have to refinance if I want some PS2 on my car. Are you kidding me?! I'm going to stick my '02's chrome snow flakes on that car! I don't even forsee myself doing a burnout because I might as well be lighting my $$$ on fire, LOL!!!

Yeah, the tires are quite pricy. On tire rack. These are the only tires they list in the specific sizes.

245/50ZR19 Yokohama ADVAN S.T. - 208 each

SS Tires:
Front 245/45ZR20 - Yokohama ADVAN S.T. - 238 each
Rear 275/40ZR20 - Yokohama 296 each

Thanks. You have just confirmed my worries.

About the burnouts and cash: sure, one doesn't do things one can't afford. But it'll be so tempting to do a burnout in 300+hp Camaro...

Go to Tirerack and hit winter tires. Are you getting a V6 or SSV8?
