The ZL1's LSA engine used as marine outboard

There has been some questions about the LSA engine in the ZL1 being a durable engine. The LSA is now being used in a marine outboard by Marine Seven. It weighs 1000 pounds and has 557 HP and costs $70,000.00, more than a CTS-V Caddy. The guys at Marine Seven say that this is only the beginning for this engine. Marine engines have to be very durable to withstand the heavy pounding and live in a salt covered environment. I have attached the link to Marine Seven because they have a cool video of the engine being bolted to the boat. The double wall stainless headers flow straight out of the engine. I hope this gives some insight as to the durability of this engine in the ZL1.

Imagine...that outboard, complete and ready to bolt on the transom of your floating "TransAm", will be MORE than a complete ZL1...

I recently saw a video of the father & son interview and they did stress about their confidence in that engine.

LSA is a great engine for 550 to 600 FWHP and would last a good time. But I wished they had forged the pistons and rods just like the LS9. It surely can't be that much more money that would change their mind for the difference of the cost.

I'm not even asking for all the other goodies in LS9 (like the lubing system), just the piston, rods and rings. I'm still not sold 100% on those LSA pistons being a true F/I pistons.

I was recently looking at four long videos on building F/I engines and they explained the whole science and how the F/I changes so many variables in the engine building compared to N/A. Seeing that, I'm kind of feel cheated the LSA is not a true F/I engine.
It was amazing to discuss how the cylinder walls shape change during ignition of boosted air. How the walls begin to form like a cone (the top part getting wider) in boosted engine. And why they need to use sleeves to do it right.
The second part is the head of LS3 versus the head they use on LS9 for F/I.
