I just saw a 3/8" drive click torque wrench at Advance Auto for $21.

Goes from 10 to 80 ft/lbs.

I've got a Pitsburg from Harbor Freight that does good on the small jobs.

You don't need a torque wrench for oil changes. The place you really do need one is for tightening lug nuts... I'd never try to guess at 140 ft-lbs. I'm hesitant to hit 140, so I usually set the wrench for 130. But more important that the actual torque is that they are all tightened the same.

For this, you'll need a heavier duty 1/2" drive (you'll need the longer handle). I buy a lot of cheap tools from Harbor Freight... great place to get a cheap floor jack and hand tools - but I would never use one of their torque wrenches.

The one from Northern Tools is probably OK, or wait for Sears to sell theirs at half price.

my intake manifold bolts need to be torques to 18 ft/lbs and about the same for my oil plug. and if my lug nuts have to be around 130 -140 ft/lbs whats my best bet?
