ROTO Fab Cold Air Intake Vs. Cold Air Intake Systems??
Love all the charts and stuff proclaiming the CAI pretty much the best cold air intake system?
But every time i see tricked out 5th gens i see a ROTO Fab under the hood! So what do folks here have and which is the best and of course in just your own opinion?

I got the Rotofab for the open top and my ram air hood. I've heard nothing but good things about CAI and I probably would had went that direction if I didn't give intakes a second look, making me stumble on the Rotofab.

pretty sure roto was out before, and it was a pretty good system. a lot of people bought it. but honestly they both are great, i personally just like the idea and looks of the CAI better.

I had a airraid, and switched to cai in black.. most of the camaro owners I know have cai vrs rotofab.

Both are nice. I have the rotofab and am very happy. I liked that I could customize it a lol by having air box powder coated red and red hoses

Went with the Roto Fab because they had one that worked and fit well with the E-Force Sujpercharger.

I was thinking about either a CAI, Inc. or Roto-Fab. I have read great things about both. I ended up going with Roto-Fab for two reasons.
1. I was concerned about how the clear window would look after a couple of years of use. 2. I could get the red hose couplings with the Roto-Fab. I'm sure either is great, it comes down to personal preference.

All I need are some tasty waves and a cool buzz and I'm fine (and of course a hot Camaro doesn't hurt).

I'm going thru the same questioning, but have decided on the cai due to I think it looks nicer.

The problem with the CAI is that the black one runs 450 bucks, but you can get the Roto in at least black for 100 less.
Do both create equal sound improvements? I am going through the same tough choice on which to get and it really isn't going to come down to if I want 5 more hp gain or not. It'll be sound and appearance at this point. |

For us, the CAI was worth it. You pay a little more, get a few more ponies... and I like the look. Some people will prefer the look of the Rotofab and I think both are excellent products. There was a great comparison thread on this, I think it was stickied somewhere...

I was impressed with CAIs independent numbers with Jannetty racing.. that is why I went with CAI
HOWEVER! Roto fab rules the car shows I go to... they offer so much for engine bay dress up and their kits look cool as hell in addition to posting good numbers... You cannot go wrong with either.

Correct me if I'm wrong guys but didnt the air raid give u the most torque at lower rpms? If so why aren't more people running with those cause thts where I'm leaning
