The Vararam breather has a 3/8" connector (it's the circular chrome thing in the first two pictures dangling off the driver's side line to the crankcase) and the Vararam breather fits your standard oil cap - unless I'm missing something it's two totally different connections?

Can you take the Rx filter cap apart somehow to make it work?

Hello i have a LFX motor and i have installed a oil catch can on the dirty side. I have not drilled out the orfice yet but what am i capping of on the clean side? Pictures would be very helpful. Are you talking about the black hose that runs from the intake through a round filter thing and then into the brake booster?

Here is the hose you remove on the clean side. I capped off my INJEN with a rubber stopper.

The other photo shows where the item above was pulled out from and I capped that spot with a rubber stopper too.

Remember if capping off on the clean side you either need the breather or the 1LE oil seperator.

Alternately, you can put a smaller catch can on the driver's side also.

Rx breather cap "breathing" oil

I would go with the 1LE separator on the clean side. From the ones I have seen this works great. I'm going the route on my FI setup also.
The 1LE separator doesn't let any un metered air into the system.

I plan on doing this too eventually.

if you do this do you have to add the vararam breather back on or leave that hose plugged?

Cap the back valve cover barb. Then run a hose from vararam breather to the 1le separator.

I have the Elite Engineering Catch Can and Clean Side Seperator on my car. No issues so far. You may want to look into that as well.

I ended up buying a new catch can with a clean side can. RX upgraded it but it. In the video I had the orifice drilled but I bought a new orifice and tried again and it eventually stopped. The only issue is my CEL stays on and next week I'm replacing the O2 sensors and putting new solo high flow cats on. if that doesn't solve the CEL then I may remove the clean side and go back to the original tube. but yea the sounds gone but the CEL stays on
