Restore my Camaro. . .Where to take it?????

I would like get my 69 Camaro restored
I'm not sure where to take it.
I would like to take it to a company that has done restorations on early Camaro's and they know what they're doing
I live in Ontario, Canada and would be willing to trailer it anywhere within reason
Ontario, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania

Any suggestions ?

Gary

The car is about 80% done
new: engine, tranny, all bodypanels, trim, wheels, wiring, chrome

It needs all glass, trim pcs. installed and then paint and stripes
not a lot

That's a tough one, I don't like to recommend because of then something going wrong in the transaction. I got scammed years ago on this and lost a few grand. I never got my car finished and am gun shy also. Hopefully my car will get finished in the next 2 or 3 years.

You should be able to just take it to a good local custom body and paint shop they should be able to put it together for you . You can get all the parts out of a catalog. but you have to watch were they come from I ordered some stuff for my firebird and it was made in china it was so bad I wont use it

Check out Elite Auto Restoration in Rochester MI. Owned and operated by 2 retired GM Engineers. The complete ALL of the work themselves, and I have seen some great finished products leave their shop.

My dad's 81 is at The AutoDream Group in Niagara falls. So far we have been extreemly satisfied with their work and the work they do. Awesome group of guys. http://www.theautodreamgroup.com/

Their body and paint expert, well lets just say if I ever need anything done to my car in terms of body and paint work I wouldn't even think twice, I would bring it right to him. The guy is a perfectionist and if any body panel is off by even 1 millimeter he wont be happy.

You can check out my restoration thread here.

Hey HINEYi, my 68 Camaro (Lemans Blue convertible SS/RS 396 numbers matching) is currently at Posies Hot Rods, Hummelstown, PA for a full off/half frame restoration. The car has been there since June 21, 2013 ....awesome shop. Hopefully when Blackhawk6 leads the Chesapeak Camaro Club in May 2014 to merge with your camarovan to Houston.......the car will be complete. I plan to enter this car in The Great Race (vintage car race) from Maine to Florida in June 2014. I think I am the only Camaro5 member in the race. Let me know how your 69 Camaro restoration progresses!

Performance Redline. A local guy that can show you what they have done yet. Vaudreuil not very far from your place.

Owner Robert Robidoux. He's known by the Montréal Group. Ask Crhist Cringle.

Check his site. Bob does the mechanic side while his Partner does the body work. He's an artist. Last job he's done is a 58 Christine, a beauty.

You looking for a concours correct 1000 point restoration, or just a restored old car that looks mint, that doesn't matter if it's 100% original?

There is a fella in Barrie that my son is getting his 69 GTO judge done right now and by the pics it look beautiful. He is also doing a 67 camaro rs to be sold. I can call my son later today and get his info if you want. I was considering purchasing this car but passed for my 14 2ss

CPRx would be my choice. They did a concours perfect '68 Z28 and a gold Yenko. All have been in magazines.

Here's a few pics of their work:

I can't find a link for their shop to save my life, but I know they are close to Buffalo, NY. They had 4 or 5 of their cars in the 2011 Buffalo Motorama.

Here's a nice magazine article on the gold Yenko that they did.
