Camaro voted top 7 great road trip cars!

Imagine my surprise to find this. You wouldn't think a "sporty" car would be great for a road trip, but it is.

Link to CNN Money story

"We wouldn't recommend the back seats for an extended trip but if you want driving fun, on a budget (the V6 is fuel-efficient, too), with comfortable space for two and their luggage, it's hard to beat the Camaro. It's also available with OnStar which, as almost anyone who has it will tell you, can be your best friend in unfamiliar territory."

It was great from Kansas to Destin Florida. 16 hours and no complaints. There were only two of us though.

I drive back and forth between West Michigan and Centeral New York. It was a comfortable ride all 12 hours.

I really like it when I cut across Canada (cuts trip down to 9 hours) and everyone waves becuase its a Camaro. That or Canadians are just too damn nice... one of the two.

Within a month of getting the 2010 Camaro SS, we took it on a 1,200 roadtrip through the desert landscape of west Texas and Roswell then up into the mountains of Taos. The car handled great and was both fun and comfortable. Even blazing through the desert at high speeds, the car averaged 24.2 mpg. Not bad for a 400+ hp car.

This is very easy to believe, by far the most comfortable car I own.

It belongs on this list... Fresno to Monterey and back, and we kept driving for another 45 minutes when we got back... Not stiff or cramped, felt like we'd just gone around the block. Great for long trips, LOVE IT

About to do a trip from AZ to SC, 2134 miles, can't wait to see how it is. I know it will be fun, stopping once 1/2 way through it, not as young as I once was

I'm going to Galveston TX. a week from today, from Oklahoma City OK. Suppose to be a 9ish hour long drive. Should be fun...
