Black Wheel Question..errr opinions actually

I will be getting the wheels on my Z refinished due to a factory defect(issue). They are going to let me do them in any color i want....even bubble gum pink, anyone have any suggestions or any photo-shop gurus want to post some ideas? Should I keep it the same matte black or go with a gloss black finish instead? other colors i would like to see is a matte red, or a matte or gloss silver. Im just curious.

Your thoughts opinions below please and thank you!

Is satin black powdercoat out of the question?? Then you can have the edges sanded and brushed.

I would personally opt for the same look as mentioned above. I believe if you search this forum Becky he here painted like the carbon concept black and bright I think it's called.

Are they just planning to paint them? I hope not. I think I would insist on powder.

I would do a gray inner lip where the hotwheels car has the red. Then again I am keeping this car stealth as I have ashen gray as well.

very suble but I think it would add just the right about of pop.

...admittedly I am partial to those HW wheels. That's quite a nice combination. Although the fully blacked out 10 spoke ZL1 wheels are monster looking, I have been tinkering with an idea to add a red bowtie outline on the center cap with some background silver ( like the 2002 SS centercaps), and red or silver( or even body color for that matter) around the outer rim circumference, just to break up the all black wheel and center cap. The concept HW has potential. Sorry, I digress...... For a straight re-paint I'd personally go with a semi-gloss black like the factory look. It's tough to beat the original look IMHO. I get OMG comments about them from guys.

I will have mine double thick powder coated glossy black. Easier to clean the brake dust off. And IMO looks better than matte. Matte black kinda looks like a brake dusted gloss black wheel no?

no matter what color i do it will eventually look matte with that damn brake dust lol.

Right now i found a place that can do several different powdercote finishes i was leaning towards either matte again or satin.
