Like I said, it all depends on how much driveablity youre willing to lose. That cam will buck around 1700rpm and below. Its the nature of a cam. A good tuner will take out some of the violence of it, but it will never go away. I thought I could handle a big cam, but if I did it over again, Id definitely go smaller. I dont drive my car hard at all so its complete overkill for me. Cams like that shift the power up in the power band. If youre car is a daily that rarely gets redlined, Id go smaller. Just my $.02.

I usually get weird real late at night on the country roads when it's just me out there. I don't mind some bucking though, it can be fun.

I had a DD 5.0 that had a wild cam in it. and they had alot less torque to help back then. you get used to the bucking and having to keep it higher reved..

but the issue then becomes.... you will NOT be able to keep your foot out of it.. it is like crack.
say goodbye to 17mpg lol..

Ya, Im at 14mpg. I drive 30 miles into Austin, which the car averages about 25 on the highway, but in town and at idle, the MPG suffers drastically. Im a touch under 500rwhp, and I only get into it MAYBE once a month. You can watch the gas gauge move when youre WOT!
