Matt,
Living in Marietta you know all to well how prevalent LIDAR is in the area. Have you guys worked with the Escort ZR4 Laser Shifter much? -Funk

I haven't personally used the ZR4 yet, but, my boss has and he swears by it. I contemplated mentioning it in conjunction with the LIDAR bit before, as it's probably the best bet for LIDAR, but I just don't have the personal experience with it yet. That being said, my boss uses a ZR4 on both of his cars, and he hasn't had a ticket--an amazing feat considering the way he tends to drive, just don't tell him I said that . Yeah, again, that sort of shifter/jammer seems to be the way to go for LIDAR, and the reviews out there say the same, but even with these new jammers there are still punch-through points for all LIDAR (especially the types of LIDAR guns they use around Atlanta here). There's a good video review by Radar Roy for the ZR4 that makes it look very impressive, but I don't want to give any sort "this will jam all LIDAR" guarantees. Like I said above, too, bare in mind the issues with LIDAR. It requires a very very steady hand and is known to give false reports and is worth arguing. That being said, some preemptive measures, like a ZR4 shifter definitely can't hurt. Even if they save you from just one ticket, especially based on our Atlanta-area speeding fines, they're worth it. Here's that Radar Roy review of the ZR4: Anyone else have personal experience with the ZR4? I'd love to hear some reviews from first-person usage perspectives. Great question, too. Hope I could be of help in answering it! Thanks, Matt |

I have spent quite a bit of time on Roy's website and I have narrowed it down to the ZR4 or the Laser Interceptor. His opinion, and pretty much everyone's opinion is the LI is superior to anything on the market. I like the ZR4 because it works in conjunction with the 9500ix.

Jim,
Do you have a photo of the system mounted in a Camaro you could share? |

I am in the market for another detector/jammer. But I will say something for sure, I know ARSP are big on not tagging you with laser until you are close to them...in that situation, the ZR4 probably wouldn't help. That and where you mount the diffusors would be difficult on the car because they would have to be in the grill upper or lower or you just say "the heck with cosmetics".

Do you guys have any install pics of either the visor or bend mount kits in a Camaro? Looking for something showing off the standard cord and the micro-invisicord.
Thanks

Does this package price include the green gamer edition or the carbon one as well or is it just the regular model?

Do you guys still carry the Visor Mount??
It keeps the unit higher and out of sight behind the tint brow. |

I searched around on your site, but couldn't find the answer. Do you happen to know which invisicord is needed for a 2012 coupe (camera display in rear view mirror)? Just about ready to order one... =) and was confused on which invisicord I needed.
Thanks! |
