I think it helped it being a better location, but it was still a long way from the east coast.

Not sure what you mean by a better location? Valdosta and Phoenix were great locations. It has to move around to be fair to all the people from coast to coast and including Canada that support this site and the Fest. You don't sail of the edge of the world if you go to far away from the east coast.

Being in the Summer is what what helped the numbers and the car has been out longer... unfortunately summer is too hot for anywhere South... There were not a lot of kids running around but I guarantee you since they were out of school grandma and grandpa took care of those duties.

Thanks to all of the mods and support staff for a great Fest. My wife and I had a great time and met a lot of new friends. Looking forward to next year.

I examined the rooftop pics of the parking lot, and managed to come up with 13 SGMs. It's amazing, but in some of the views, the Synergys are obscured by trees, yet you can see just a few pixels of that green shining through like a laser! For comparison, here is what we were doing 2200 miles away that day:

We put together our own little C5 "West Fest". We actually had 8 show, but one had to leave before the picture was taken.
Upon seeing our pictures, one C5 Fest participant posted on facebook that we had almost as many SGMs as the fest! Not bad for having only 23 Fifth Gens total in our parking lot.
Glad you all had a good time. Wish we could have been there!

Actually it was so late in the summer that most of our schools were back in session & activities like football & band in full swing. Summer is good but earlier in the summer would be better. Most years it is not quite as hot (though this year it would not have mattered for temps - weirdly hot year) and most all schools & school related activities not in session.

It was a blast just seeing the cars and meeting folks that have the same passion we all share. Wyndham West was almost as fun as Lucas Oil. I plan of attending in the future. Thanks for sharing photos.

No, grandma and grandpa were there too! So who did watch the kids? Oops!
