Test drive N.VA.
Anyone know a dealer that has a new Camaro that I can test drive? I know Country Chevrolet in Warrenton "had" one, but they sold it. I drive about 120 miles a day and this would be my daily driver so I really want to see how comfortable it is. I'd prefer an SS as that is what I'm interested in, but I'm guessing the comfort is going to be the same in an LT.
Thanks! |

Virginia Here and Still Waiting
I ordered mine through Country Chevy. It's shipped....please let it arrive before I go on vacation.
Anyway, I do 120 a day as well and plan on a couple of days taking this to work as well. A day with the SUV, a day with the convertible etc. I live in Fredericksurg, VA. I ordered like others without sitting in the car let alone driving one. Not many dealers letting you test drive. Just flipping do it already.

Avis at Dulles airport is renting them...1LT. The cloth seats are no where near as comfortable as the leather IMO..I test drove a 2SS and it is a difference. If you want to sit in a 2SS Sport Chevrolet in Silver Spring, MD has one in their showroom....no test driving it though.

I drove the demo at Country Chevrolet too and I thought they were going to hold on to it until September but then got an email that it was for sale. Not sure why they changed their mind other than cash flow. Renting is a possibility. Also some of the dealers in Winchester or Luray might have theirs still.

Any body know of a place in NOVA that is allowing test drives? I think it is hard enough to find them with cars, but wanted to see if I could drive one to seal the decision.

Don't think anyone will let you test drive one. I was lucky to drive a V6 which was a GM fleet vehicle when I was at home in Michigan, that's the closest I got to driving a V8. You won't be disappointed.

You could try renting one from Avis or somebody.
As for comfort, the seats are A+. Very well padded and hug you close like a lover. The suspension, however, between the two is quite different. I've not driven the V6, but the SS has a stiffer "performance" suspension that transmits the harsher portions of the road surface in an unpleasant manner. The seats absorb most of the stiffness, but there it is. Based on the 120 miles and the lower fuel costs of the V6 and the stiffer suspension of the V8, you might want to go with the LT models. Just my opinion, someone who's made longer trips than I have may have differing thoughts.
