If you want to turn them off, drive around with your parking brake on

With a RS you do not have fog lights, you have DRLs (Daytime Running Lights). You can turn them off if you want by turning the headlight knob to the left. The DRLs will come on anytime the engine is running and the headlights are NOT on.

Cut the wiring lol.
No really its either drive with them on or your headlights on unless you do some self modification.

So, am I to understand that the DLRs turn off when you turn the headlights on (unless otherwise modified)?

That thread you mentioned offered no insight on that.

forget the smart answers/remarks your have given so far. Now to answer your question, it is easy, it takes voice command, while in the driver's seat with key on, just day "Foggy Off" or "Foggy On". You are welcome.

Correct. If you leave it on AUTO, then you will have the DRLs on during the daytime. When it gets dark, your headlights will turn on and the DRLs will turn off. They are not fog lights. If you want to run your halos instead and without the DRLs OR the full headlights, turn the nob to the right once, twice and you turn on the full headlights. Check out your manual, but those are the basics - at least on my SS/RS

You're getting a lot of smart-assery, so thought I'd give you a fuller run down lol.

This will keep your foglights and halos on at all times the car is running unless your physically turn off the lights using the switch on the dash.

The plasma led's are also a brighter and "blueish" colored but run much cooler. This is a pretty easy do it yourself install. Use search for AAC plasma P13. You should get quite a few hits on this forum. Get the plasma P13 and not the regular led P13 - just my opinion.
