Thanks gang....we're doing better.

Took the kids to Disneyworld today to make us feel better...I think that it worked.

Looking forward to seeing you guys next Saturday at Sonic.

Again, thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Ok gang got a question for you all.
I put your long tube header and high flow cats on my V6 2010 Camaro love the sound and the boost in horse power. However the car is now showing a check engine light and the code points back to the high flow cats how do I get around this with out pulling everything off and going back to the OEM parts? We have look at just placing the old cats on but now with out doing some heavy modification to the piping going from a 3” to a 2 ½” pipe and cutting and re-welding things to make the old fit the new. To add to the mess the emissions test is do next month.
Thanks Bill

You could have them tune out the check engine light if you get it tune, but it might not pass emissions either way.

Dead on.

Anytime you place the cats (whether they are oem or aftermarket hf style) in a place "upstream" or "downstream" from their original placement, you will almost always cause a CEL condition.

Even putting the oems in the same exact location (not that it would be possible) would not keep you 100% from initiating the CEL due to the flow charactoristics of the aftermarket header that you put on the car.

There are three ways to deal with it:

Tune it to delete the rear o2 inputs.
Pretend that the CEL on the dash doesn't bother you.
Install Defoulers.

The last solution is for "race applications only" however and would be for that application only.

Hope to see you soon Bill.
