Hey Frank -

Thanks for the pics of your rear control mods. You would have thought that Spohn would have made these to work with something other than just stock wheels? It is after all a Camaro which they know will be modified every possible way...

Thanks Again Frank.

Patch piece made and fit to hole in control arm. I used a piece of 3/16 by 3" steel I got from Lowe's. Welded it in (inside and out) and ground the outside welds down. Next, paint it and reinstall it. Then there's the other side to do!

Seriously, I would send a couple of pics of your modifications and tell Spohn others are having to do the same thing. They may want to consider modifying their design. Tell them that if someone is serious enough to put these on their car they ARE NOT running factory tires/wheels. I can crank on them too if you want.

Painted. Krylon Gloss Banner Red is almost a perfect match for the red powder coating.

Very nice.

Looks like you painted the strike zone stripes the same color !!! j/k but the stripes are the same color as the control arms - really.

Yeah, I just sat it down to get a quick shot. Machine is a United small ball bowler I restored. It was originally built in 1956.

Frank -

That is wicked cool. Get to restore and play with those machines. I am sure you have no problem with entertainment at your place... You can even knock down every pin if you slide that lower control arm a little harder, but if you scratch it there'll be hell to pay.

A little comparison between the right side (done) and the left. I also added a drain hole to the modified one.
