What type of tips do you use with your exhaust? Any chrome or flare or just the Ground effects?

What do you mean by best? the least drone? the loudest? high pitched or deep growl? So many variables. What might be the best to us doesn't mean it is to you. Look over the exhaust thread and listen to the clips (some stink) and make a decision that is best for you.

It really boils down to personal preference. I have Borla's S type cat-back and love it! Borla's ATAK exhaust is nice too. It's just a little more aggressive than the S type.

Catback L99

I have a PYPES CatBack on my L99 and sound good and it`s the best in price. But if you can afford it the CORSA CatBack sounds real sweet.

Corsa for me, no drone and great sound.

But be prepared to tune out AFM/DOD as it is very noticeable with any cat-back exhaust. You'll hear it cut in and out in every mode except tap shift. Annoying.

The best thing for you to do is start going to car shows and ask guys to start their car for you.

The real sound is differant that what you will hear over your computer speakers.

If you are going to spend $800-1000.00 for an exhaust, you're going to only want to do it once and get it right!

Maters how loud you want to go. No matter what you do though get the cat back x-pipe. Way smoother than the stock h-pipe. I had the same question before I bought my exhaust. I went with the cat back x-pipe and S-type Borla myself. Was a little upset though because while it sounded perfect it wasn't aggressive enough for me. Best thing I did though was sell the S-type axle back and run straight pipes (muffler delete) with the Borla X-pipe. I am running stock headers and cats though, which are getting changed soon, but after those are installed I'm sure it will be too loud so I am going to the Atak system after that.

This is the new axle-back with J-pipe, no drone system from Solo Performance. I've been a long time fan of Corsa on vettes and had it on my 2011 Camaro SS/RS L99 for six months. The Corsa system now sits on the floor in my garage!

There are so many out there now, makes it really hard to choose. Everyone has their personal, favorite sound characteristics. I love the sound of a nice chambered exhaust on these cars. I have this exhaust on my car & really like it.
