Listening to sports radio this morning, I'm glad the talk is about the refs, rather than crap talk about the Seahawks. They played a good game, especially the defense. The call was in no way the Seahawks fault... Maybe this will get the negotiations with the regular refs going.

Like I said I didn't root for either team in this game and it doesn't really matter to me that the seahawks won other than the fact that a totally screwed up called cost a win. If it wold have been the other way around I would have felt the same way.

We will never know the real outcome of the game unless it is replayed as it should be. With real Refs period

It was pretty pathetic ref'fin but the Seahawks played well. I'm so glad to see Hasselbeck is gone, he's been holding this team back for too many seasons.

Been to several hockey games, can't figure out all the rules to the game, but it is fun watching the fights!

They need cheerleaders to even out the testosterone on the ice.

Another VERY good view you haven't seen of the catch.

I just want to point out that Tate lands on his back with Jennings on top of him, face to face and aarms interlinked around the ball. It's not until he rolls way that he gains "possession".

Point is...many people are now seeing this and re-evaluationg their opinion.

From that angle, it looks like Tate had it and Jennings was trying to get it away... As I've been saying since Monday night - they both had possession at the time that control of the ball was gained. And the rule is that the receiver gets it if there's simultaneous possession...

And now, for the humor...

Going to be interesting this Sunday. My buds from Seattle will be joining me. Let hope the officials aren't sleeping on the job......unless it benefits the Rams...

With luck, the rest of the league will be focusing on the Hail Mary, and won't remember this.

A lot more happened in this game that were horrible calls from the refs. On both sides. But the last play of the game is not really up for debate. Jennings has both hands on it the entire time. Pulls the ball to his chest. Tate reaches up and the ball touches his left hand at the same time Jennings grasps it, however you can see in close replay the ball move around in his left hand and then his right hand/arm comes completely away from the ball on the way down to the ground. It's not simultaneous possession, because Tate grasps the ball after Jennings and never really gets both hands on the ball. A veteran referee that was in the NFL for over 20 years looked at the play and said the interception should have gone to Jennings. In all reality, it would have been tough to overturn either way...if it was called an interception or the touchdown because of how close it was. What's more important are all the horrible calls throughout the game that had fans on both sides disgusted. And the game was a catalyst for getting the regular officials back. It's one game at the beginning of the season. Green Bay will come back from this. I have no heartache against Seattle, because they have a lot of connections with Green Bay and the state of Wisconsin.

Well, we got the "regular" officials back, and they make horrible calls too. When Steve Smith picked up Richard Sherman and flipped him to the ground, they called holding... REALLY?? How about unneccesary roughness?? I guess they tried to make up for it with the next blown call, when the Hawks got away with pretty blatant PI.

Hey - a win is a win.... I'm still pretty impressed with the on-purpose safety though.
