LG Motorsports Velocity Cold air...RACE TRACK PROVEN RESULTS INSIDE

Hey guys,

We spent the weekend at Eagle's Canyon Raceway with our 2010 Camaro SS to validate current products and test new items on track under the hardest of conditions. Test ran Saturday 3-24-12. Outside air temp 76-78 degree's, sunny, track temp 88-90, slight breeze.

Modifications done to the car, producing 428 rwhp.
  • LG Super Pro Exhaust and mufflers
  • LG Velocity Cold Air intake
  • LG Sway bars
  • LG Drop Springs
  • LG Short shifter
  • LG full chassis brace system with Strut brace
  • StopTech brake lines
  • Hawk DTC60 pads

First results I am going to show is the LG 'Velocity' Cold air system. There have been a lot of threads about what is the best with testing on the dyno, hood open, hood closed, scoops, lids, boxes, ram air scoops. Some said ours was not a true cold air intake.....

Below you can see a screen shot during our test of a full 30 min session on track (last 6mins shown) with the car, and you can see the car is not cold at all. Engine coolant temp 235, oil temp over 300....all the time the air intake temp is only 2 degree's over outside. That my friends is a proven result of how a cold air system should work.

Not only has the Velocity shown the best results on the dyno, now you can see just how effective this works on track and providing the engine a much needed cold shot of air while being pushed to the limit. (video coming soon).

Once again, proving our products in real world on track testing.

More to come, including video.

I'm still shocked no one has said anything about temps........

At any rate look for new cooling system setups from LG in the near future...

Did I miss something? Track proven what? That the intake air temp is around ambient? To me track proven would be a better 1/4 mile time or a better time around the track (which the last one could be easily skewed). Just saying.

Many things are being proven. In testing here on the dyno I have seen other intakes show over 20 degree's hotter than outside air temps, much less what they show on track under the most punishing conditions such as these.

As I said...we are doing a lot of testing on the cars. You would be very surprised at some of the 'competition' on what they show.

Because of this, along with our new race car you will be seeing a number of new products, next of which is going to be a radiator which will be in the race car this weekend.

I hardy think just a reduction in temps is the only thing that comes into play. Hence why I asked for some 1/4 mile or track times. Your over emphasizing a reduction in temps....while that is good....it isn't the only thing to thing about. How would a reduction in temp along with a reduction in airflow perform? Jus sayin

Given the HP increase over other intake system, much less the stock system...I know there is no problem with air flow or HP production. HP and Torque increases have already been proven and shown some time ago during the release of the system.

The car is being tested right now for handling, not 1/4 mile times.
