got side swiped - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

last night as i'm coming home from dinner i was merging into the turning lane and the guy behind me was to impatient to wait his turn to get to the turning lane so he rode the shoulder and as i was getting in he side swiped me. Looks like i need a new front quarter panel and my rim needs to be re-powder coated. Also my passenger side door doesn't open but i think that because the quarter panel is bent into it and hits it, hoping the door isn't messed up too. Any idea on how much this will cost me? it doesn't look as bad in the pics as what it really is. i was planning on buying headers this weekend but there goes that money...

That sucks. No idea how much to fix - hope you got all his insurance info.

So few people actually know what "Merge" means, or how to properly do it. This guy was obviously only concerned with himself - ahole.

well the problem is im only 17 and insurace will go way up if they know a 17 year old crashed a camaro.. it will be cheaper in the long run to pay myself

Well that's not good! I'm surprised your parents are so irresponsible as they are putting themselves and others at major risk to save a few $$. It's becasue of people like you I need to pay more to carry uninsured motorist coverage!

Stupid. And by the sounds of it, the other guy was already in the turn lane. YOU side swiped him. Lucky you didn't kill someone with no insurance. Its people like you that jack up my insurance rates.

Yeah. Sucks that that happened, but you NEED to get insurance. So dumb to not have it, also most of the companies have accident forgiveness now thats pretty cheap, your rates dont go up if you get in an accident.

1st; why is you dad letting you drive his car with out insurance?
2nd; such a shame this had to happen to a beautiful car like ours
3rd; how is this going to be cheaper to fix with out insurance? if i were to be in a crash like this i would only pay $200, this seem to be more than a $200 fix
